Erica and Ryan first became acquaintences in college through friends while Ryan attended UNO and Erica attended LSU. They crossed paths again years later, and true to the cliche, the way to Ryan's heart ended up being through his stomach. After a long talk about some of the better restaurants in New Orleans, Erica convinced Ryan to accompany her to one of her favorites. That first date led to many more and eventually to a proposal at the very same place they dined at on their first date.
